Sandia Horng headshotSandia Horng is the Founder and Executive Chef of Bite Macarons, a trendy Houston Bakery. Pastry Chef Sandia Horng conceptualized Bite Macarons and opened its in West University Place in Fall 2013 after her graduation from Culinary Institute LeNôtre.

“Hi, my name is Sandia Horng and I’m an executive chef with an upcoming bakery called Bite Macarons. In the beginning when I was looking for different kinds of schools, here locally and even schools out of state, I just felt a connection with Culinary Institute LeNôtre, seeing all the chefs interacting with the students, and getting a lot of hands-on work and that was exactly what I was looking for.

I think that other students should consider the school because there are a lot of talented chefs here and they can relate to your passion.

In the process of opening this bakery I came to the school and Chef Alain LeNôtre had set some time aside for me just to talk to me and help me out in, you know, some of the processes. He had given me some of his connections just to help me build my project up.

This has been a good experience for me. I’m extremely glad that I chose this school. They’ve given me a lot of great experiences here and chefs-student interactions and if I would do it all over again, I would have chosen the school all over again.”
