T\u00f3mese un minuto para leer esta historia.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-background\" style=\"background-color:#0041a3;color:#0041a3\"\/>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\">Antiguos alumnos: Matthew Shaw<br\/>Ciudad natal: Beeville, Texas  <br\/>A\u00f1o de graduaci\u00f3n: 2001 y 2011<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-text-color has-medium-font-size\" style=\"color:#0041a3\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 le inspir\u00f3 para convertirse en chef?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Durante la mayor parte de mi vida adulta he sentido pasi\u00f3n por la preparaci\u00f3n y presentaci\u00f3n de los alimentos y por el placer de utilizar la comida como medio para reunir a familiares, amigos y colegas. Empez\u00f3 en la humilde cocina rural de mi madre y se ha convertido en una profesi\u00f3n a la que me enorgullece pertenecer.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-text-color has-medium-font-size\" style=\"color:#0041a3\"><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo describir\u00eda el impacto de sus cursos en el CIL en su vida diaria?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Ahora que estoy a cargo de mi propia galera (cocina), tengo la oportunidad de ense\u00f1ar lo que aprend\u00ed en el CIL a quienes se inician en el campo culinario dentro de la Guardia Costera. Desde la \u00abmise en place\u00bb hasta la destreza con el cuchillo, pasando por las t\u00e9cnicas culinarias cl\u00e1sicas y contempor\u00e1neas. Todos los d\u00edas me acuerdo de la formaci\u00f3n que recib\u00ed en el CCI hace m\u00e1s de 15 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-text-color has-medium-font-size\" style=\"color:#0041a3\"><strong>\u00bfAlg\u00fan momento memorable como estudiante?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Regresar al CIL en 2011 para obtener un t\u00edtulo de Asociado, pronunciar el discurso de graduaci\u00f3n como graduada Magna Cum Laude de Oro de mi promoci\u00f3n y, a continuaci\u00f3n, recibir una beca para realizar un stage en Par\u00eds de manos de Alain y Marie LeNotre.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-text-color has-medium-font-size\" style=\"color:#0041a3\"><strong>\u00bfAlg\u00fan consejo para los estudiantes?<\/strong><br\/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">El proceso de aprendizaje de un culinario nunca se detiene.
