Most academic classes in the Hospitality and Restaurant Management Program are offered online with practical courses in person. If students want to join a class offered online in person instead, they may submit a request to the Education Department.

Foundation Courses – 90 Quarter Credit Hours

  • Hospitality Management Courses – (HMGT) 45 Quarter Credit Hours
  • Academic Courses – (ACAD) 28 Quarter Credit Hours
    • To include the choice of French or Spanish courses
  • Wine Fundamentals Including Wine Tasting – 4 Quarter Credit Hours
  • Practicum in Hotel and Restaurant Management – (PRAC) 13 Quarter Credit Hours
    • Voyage offered at designated sites

Choose Between 4 Concentrations and/or Elective Studies

  1. Lenotre Sommelier I – (WINE) 5 Quarter Credit Hours
  2. Lenotre Sommelier II – (WINE) 5 Quarter Credit Hours
  3. Fundamentals of Cuisine Level 1 – (CULLAB) 10 Quarter Credit Hours
  4. Fundamentals of Baking & Pastry Level 1 – (BAKLAB) 10 Quarter Credit Hours

The Associate of Applied Science in Hospitality and Restaurant Management Program prepares students for food services management positions in hotels, restaurants, and the hospitality industry. Positions in institutional food services in schools, hospitals, and commercial establishments are also available.
