Associate of Applied Science Degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Management

Length of Time to Complete: 90 weeks (two years)

Wine fundamentals are included. Students will also take a practicum voyage.
Our schedules are flexible to meet your lifestyle. We offer options to complete the program at your own pace. Choose between two days per week (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday) and two shifts per day (morning or afternoon).

Foundation Courses – 90 Credits

  • Hospitality Management Courses (HMGT) 45 Credits
  • Academic Courses (ACAD) 23 Credits
    • To include a choice between French & Spanish classes
  • Wine Fundamentals Including Wine Tasting 4 Credits
  • Practicum in Hotel and Restaurant Management (PRAC) 18 Credits
    • To include a study voyage to New Orleans

Choose Between Five Concentrations and/or Elective Studies

  2. Hotel Sales & Marketing (HAMG) 10 Credits
  3. Sommelier I & II 10 Credits
  4. Fundamentals of Cuisine (Level I) 10 Credits
  5. Fundamentals of Baking & Pastry (Level I) 10 Credits

The Associate of Applied Science in Hospitality and Restaurant Management Program prepares students for food services management positions in hotels, restaurants and the hospitality industry. Positions in institutional food services in schools, hospitals and commercial establishments are also available.
