Since graduating from LENOTRE in December 2023, Valentin has continued building his career through a variety of professional culinary experiences. He began working at Mastro’s, where he developed his foundation in a professional kitchen and gained hands-on experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Chef Valentin’s culinary journey then took him across the Atlantic to Spain, where he had the opportunity to learn from Chef Germán Carrizo at FIERRO, Michelin restaurant in Valencia, tasting menus, modern Mediterranean cuisine and Argentinean roots of Carito and Germán. There, Valentin was introduced to fine dining and experienced a culinary style that combines Argentinian and Spanish influences.
After returning to Houston, Valentin continued his growth at Le Jardinier Houston while also supporting Katyringfood Company through a variety of catering events. Working in different kitchens and culinary environments has allowed him to continue developing his techniques, adaptability, and understanding of the industry.
Now, those experiences will be put to the test in Hell’s Kitchen. Competing alongside other chefs, Valentin will face the pressure, pace, and challenges that come with cooking in Chef Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen. For a chef still early in his professional career, the competition represents an opportunity to step outside the kitchens where he has built his experience and take on a new challenge in front of a national audience.
Tune in September 24 for the Season 25 premiere of Hell’s Kitchen and follow Valentin Royo as he takes on the challenge.
