Personal Motivational Motto: My mission in life is not to merely survive, but to thrive and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. – Maya Angelou

What has been your inspiration to follow this path?
I’ve loved to cook for as long as I can remember. My grandmother was the best cook I knew, she showed love with her cooking, so I always admired her and wanted to be like her

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned so far at CIL and how has your classroom experience been?
I’ve met some great people and awesome teachers. I’ve learned to never settle for just ok, always strive for the best you can create, it’s a reflection of your passion to cook

What would you say to the students interested in studying at CIL?
If you decide to pursue a career in culinary, don’t do it halfway, give it all you have to give, or don’t do it at all. We have enough half steppers in the world already.

What are your projects for after graduation?
I am happy to announce I will be the General manager at a restaurant in Massachusetts, outside of Boston! I have been given the opportunity to redesign the restaurant and introduce all new menu items. I have been submitting recipes to them for the past 8 months; all my hard work and perseverance has blessed me with this position. They are currently filming the Stephen King series Castle Rock (on Hulu) in that town and our restaurant will have a cameo in October!
