At Culinary Institute Lenotre (LENOTRE), we believe that food has the power to comfort, connect, and uplift—especially during life’s most challenging moments. That’s why we are incredibly proud to support Icing Smiles, a heartfelt nonprofit dedicated to providing custom celebration cakes and treats to families impacted by the critical illness of a child.
Through this meaningful partnership, our students and team members have the opportunity to create more than just desserts—they create moments of happiness. Each cake is thoughtfully designed and carefully crafted to reflect a child’s interests, personality, and milestones, bringing a sense of normalcy and celebration during times that are often filled with uncertainty and hardship.
As honored “Sugar Angels,” we stand alongside Icing Smiles in their mission to deliver smiles, comfort, and hope. Being part of this initiative allows our students to apply their culinary skills in a deeply impactful way, reinforcing the importance of compassion, community, and service within the culinary profession.
Since its founding in 2010, Icing Smiles has delivered more than 34,000 custom cakes to children across the country. Each delivery represents a moment of light for families navigating incredibly difficult journeys—a reminder that they are supported, seen, and cared for.
